William Grassie Wine Estates is an intimate Washington State winery committed to producing premier Bordeaux style wines. The winemaker, Bill Grassie, embarked upon his vision to create world class wine in 2006, when he moved to the Seattle area. Bill is an avid gardener and his passion for gardening led him to plant a vineyard on a bare patch of ground at his new property. This seemingly inconsequential decision to create the vineyard in 2007 accelerated his efforts to become a winemaker, leading to the creation of his first vintage in 2011.

About William Grassie Wines
While Bill’s personal vineyard ignited his inspiration, the grapes for his award winning wines are sourced from some of the finest vineyards and AVA’s in Eastern Washington. As Bill was establishing the winery, he was also busy creating a beautiful and relaxing garden. The vineyard and surrounding gardens were conceived with the goal of opening a tasting room in a setting which would complement his wine. Bill knows that perfect wine only exists in the perfect setting, and he has worked tirelessly since 2006 to create his. He also recognizes the perfect setting is different for everyone, but if you need inspiration for your perfect setting, we invite you to join us to taste our wine surrounded by Bill’s Vineyard and garden at our new tasting room in Fall City, WA. We are just a few miles from Snoqualmie Falls so perhaps you can stop by to end a great day of sight-seeing.
From the beginning, Bill’s vision was and continues to be to make only the highest quality wines. From start to finish, no expense or effort is spared to ensure a world class product is produced. This starts in the vineyard and carries through to barreling and aging decisions, combining the best of traditional wine making with the most up-to-date wine making techniques. It ends in the glass, with award winning wine that is incredibly balanced with a long enjoyable finish.
